Encore Recycling offers multiple solutions to fit your scrap metal recycling needs in Atlanta.  Our services include retail, peddler, dealer, and commercial purchases of all ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals. We are located just outside of the Atlanta perimeter in Lithonia, Georgia.

The History of Encore

Growing up with a father who was in the heavy equipment business, Craig, Kevin and Gary Blase were able to learn first-hand about the industrial sector of the economy and what makes it tick.

Craig says their father had one phrase in particular that has helped guide them on their present course: “Find the dirtiest business out there, and you’ll make money.”

One could certainly argue that scrap recycling does not deserve the dubious honor of being labeled “the dirtiest business,” but the daily practice of handling the discards of others has indeed proven profitable for the three Blase brothers. The company they created, Blaze Recycling & Metals, now has four locations in northern Georgia and has grown steadily throughout its 16 years in business.

The Expansion… Blaze Recycling Changes Corporate Structure, Aug 2008

Blaze Recycling & Metals LLC, headquartered in Norcross, Ga., recently reorganized its operations, creating a holding company. As part of the reorganization, the owners of Blaze Recycling & Meals have swapped their equity in the company to identical ownership interests in Blaze Metals LLC, the newly created holding company. With the move, Blaze Recycling & Metals becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Blaze Metals LLC.

Following up on the change in corporate structure, the Norcross firm has acquired Ocala Recycling, an Ocala, Fla.-based scrap recycler. Ocala Recycling will also become a wholly owned subsidiary of Blaze Metals LLC. Richard and Michael Bianculli, the previous owners of Ocala Recycling, will remain with the company and have received equity in the holding company.

Ocala Recycling has been involved in the recycling business for more than 15 years. The company operates two scrap yards and two smaller feeder facilities in the Ocala area. The company also recently completed the development of an auto shredder that became operational in the third quarter of 2007.

Retail Trade

Encore Recycling is open five days a week for the delivery of all scrap ferrous and non-ferrous metals. From the lawnmower you’ve just replaced, and end of life automobile, or cans from your groups fundraiser, materials will be accepted in any quantity. At Encore, it pays to be green, earning money for your scrap while helping to keep it out of our landfills. We buy automobiles, scrap metal, copper, aluminum, brass, stainless steel, appliances, insulated copper, aluminum wire, ACSR, cable,and many more items.

• Any material containing Asbestos or other Contaminants
• Beer Kegs
• Capacitors
• Gas Tanks or items having flammable material
• Light Ballast containing PCBs
• Oil and/or Oil Filters
• Paint Cans
• Radio-active materials
• Shocks
• Tires (other than those attached to a delivered vehicle)
• Any item conataining CFC’c – Please note that the Clean Air Act regulations prohibit the release of CFC’s, anyone selling an item that has contained CFC’s is REQUIRED to sign a statement certifying the removal prior to sale.
