West Valley Collection and Recycling, LLC.

1333 Oakland Road , San Jose, California, United States

WVC&R is proud to service all of the single-family homes, businesses and multi-family complexes in the West Valley Community.

In 2014, WVC&R made enhancements to our fleet of trucks and our collection services to help our customers in the West Valley Community become greener and cleaner.

These trucks are powered by CNG, a cleaner burning alternative fuel made entirely in the U.S., providing our community with cleaner air. The trucks also have a larger collection capacity to reduce the amount of trips to the landfill and recycling center. Both mileage and emissions will be reduced in comparison to the previous fleet of trucks.

WVC&R also uses state-of-the-art automated split body side loader trucks that enable the collection of two separate materials, residential garbage and green waste, in a single pass. A toggle switch is used to control a flap that funnels the material into the appropriate compartment of the truck.

As of March 2014, WVC&R expanded the list of items you may place into your recycling cart such as cell phones, cellophane bags, keyboards, metal and plastic hangers, photographs, printers, plumbing fixtures, and more. To view the list of items you may recycle, check out our residential guide located at the left column.
