Focus On Safety and the Environment

Since its inception, RMG has been strongly committed to the safety of our employees, customers and the environment. RMG employs multiple personnel whose sole functions are to further advance safe operating practices and to ensure the highest levels of environmental compliance and stewardship throughout the organization.

Ferrous Metal

RMG buys, processes and sells all grades of ferrous scrap, specializing in automotive engine blocks, clean auto cast, heavy breakable machinery cast, foundry steel and blast furnace iron.

Non Ferrous Metal

RMG buys, processes and sells all grades of non ferrous scrap, specializing in industrially generated aluminum, irony aluminum, aluminum “twitch”, mixed metal “zorba”, “scroll”, “honey” and various copper and precious metal containing circuit board scrap.

E-Scrap

RMG accepts obsolete electronics and electrical equipment from small to large businesses, municipalities, schools, churches and individuals. All hard drive data is destroyed, while remaining materials are demanufactured, sorted and shredded.

Auto Shredder Residue

RMG is one of only a handful of companies recovering metals, plastics and other recyclable commodities from the ASR waste stream. Various grades of metal containing ASR come from scrap shredding plants. RMG also operates at both operating and closed landfill sites as well as at multiple strategically located processing plants around the United States.

WAREHOUSING
We offer over 500,000 square feet of inside warehouse storage and over 100 acres of outside storage in the Chicago, Illinois area.

STEVEDORING
Our services include loading, unloading, storage and other value added marine terminal services for river barge, lake vessel/barge and ocean vessels. We boast a 4,000 foot dock with full Seaway draft on the Calumet River, in Chicago, Illinois.

CONTAINER YARD
Our services include receiving, lifting off chassis, placing to stack, lifting on chassis, tracking moves, and long and short term storage of empty containers. Our storage facilities can accommodate up to 2,500 containers.

CONTAINER FREIGHT STATION
Our services include rail and truck direct transload to ocean containers and the stuffing/stripping of ocean freight containers.
