McCoy Iron & Metal, Inc. is the latest addition to a recycling family that has spanned more than three generations. Beginning in 1954, Gene McCoy founded McCoy Salvage in the southeast Missouri town of Caruthersville.

In 1990, Gene's son Mike McCoy continued the family tradition by opening McCoy Iron & Metal, Inc., in Springfield, Missouri. With the hard work and dedication of his three children, Michael, Greg and Kim, Mike and Sharon have been able to expand McCoy Iron & Metal, Inc., into the largest family-owned and operated metal recycling center in southwestern Missouri.

TruckNow, nearly 20 years after Mike began, McCoy Iron & Metal, Inc., has expanded to a force of over 30 employees with equipment designed to process material on-site as well as at industrial locations. With a fleet of semis, cranes, portable bailers and industrial containers, McCoy Iron & Metal, Inc., offers recycling opportunities for every type of customer. Whether it's a sack of cans, a car or a building, McCoy Iron & Metal, Inc., is a top choice for metal recycling.

We buy all scrap metals, even appliances and cars. We have a large lot with easy shipping access by truck or rail, and we can provide industrial container service. McCoy Iron & Metal, Inc., offers all the amenities that a business or industrial location requires for recycling scrap metal material. With multiple sized containers, we can place a container on-site and will pick up or swap whenever needed.For larger sites, our portable bailer can be taken on location to process and ship material back to our facility in Springfield.
