The Kantner Yard located on Whistler Road was opened in 1993 by the current officers of the company, John and Rochelle Toth.

Seven years later, with a great reputation for fair trade and their 'Price Promise', Kantner Iron and Steel expanded  and opened their second yard in Friedens.

Today scrappers from all over Somerset and Cambria Counties know that whether it be a couple of pounds or a 1000 ton of metal that Kantner Iron and Steel is their only destination.
