Distributor of a full line of sizes & grades, metal & cable, small or large quantities of precious metals.Metal & Cable was founded in 1985 to distribute 'hard-to-find' and custom made  metals, and electrical wire and cable. The information at our page links (on the left) give a partial summary  of the items that we manufacture and distribute. Please call us with your specific inquiries. The stainless steel bar that we stock for the nuclear power industry is 304L that is American made, double vacuum melted (VIMVAR), is certified to AMS 5647, and has a cobalt analysis of less than 0.01%. We are now stocking 1100F and 1100H-18 grade aluminum round bar certified to the properties of ASTM B211. Our high capacity Magnemount antenna mount and Magnemount cable/cable tray mount are non-penetrating magnetic mounts designed for use on steel water towers.

 

Metal & Cable Corp., Inc. stocks only American made stainless steel bars. Our 304L vacuum induction melted and vacuum arc re-melted (VIMVAR) stainless steel bars are supplied to us by Carpenter Technology Corp from Reading, PA. Our VIMVAR 304L heats are specially ordered and processed to have an ultra-low residual analysis of cobalt of 0.01% This ultra-low residual analysis of cobalt makes these bars an excellent choice for nuclear reactor applications. Although Metal & Cable Corp., Inc. can not certify the bars to ASME Section III or Navy Nuclear specifications, we GUARANTEE that they will pass any tests conducted to upgrade them, or we will take them back with no restocking charge - and pay the freight both ways

 

We are now supplying cable/cable tray coax supports (Patent Pending) based on the Unistrut framing system coupled with the patented Magnemount non-penetrating mounting system. Utilizing Unistrut's 12 gage 304 grade stainless steel framing, coupled with the Magnemount non-penetrating mounting system, we are providing a solution to carrying cables across and down steel water tanks. The item number is CT1000-24-U-2. No longer will it be necessary to rely on epoxy for a non-penetrating solution, when the Magnemount mounting system has the track record to reliably hold your cables until you are ready to move them. Lengths of 24' of Unistrut are stocked, but any length is available. The Magnemount mounting system is attached to the Unistrut and requires no adjustments. All you have to do is unwrap the package, place the supports, and attach the brackets for a clean installation that has the longevity of 304 grade stainless steel. Placement should be every 4 feet or less on horizontal surfaces and 3 feet or less on vertical surfaces. Another option is to attach cable trays to the Unistrut if the cables need to be enclosed - Item numbers CT1000-24-U-3. This option has a customer controlled height adjustment on each magnet to allow a close fit on the cable tray ends - even on curved surfaces. Another new cable holding Magnemount is item number MMSA-38. We attach a CommScope model SA-38 adapter to our Patented Magnemount mounting system. A single high strength magnet can hold up to 3 runs of cable using 3/4' snap-ins. Placement should be every 4 feet or less on horizontal surfaces and 3 feet or less on vertical surfaces.
