Metalmen Sales, Inc
31-49 12th St., Long Island City, New York, United States
metalmen delivers no nonsense hassle-free service from first communication, through the quoting stage, order entry, and supply of goods. Your phone calls are answered by a seasoned dealer with decades of experience in the buying, selling, and processing of specialty metals. Our 'fishbowl' technique draws upon the intelligence of every staff member, capitalizing on more than 75 years of cumulative experience. We don't just sell metal. We live and think metal. When challenged by a request, our gears turn, asking ' How can this be done? With other corporate distributors, if it's not on their stock list, salespeople are discouraged from responding, from engaging, from problem-solving. metalmen engage every day, calculating how to achieve a specified goal. By grinding, heat-treating, polishing, saw cutting, forging; by using the full palette of metal working processes. Founded on the tough streets of Brooklyn in the mid-80's, amid the collapse of the regional manufacturing base, and before NY City's return to civility, two New Yorkers, James Pignetti, ( Jim Netti ) and Jeffrey Zweifler refined a creative approach to metal supply. By memorizing, to the extent possible, all the inventory in the United States, in stainless, nickel, aluminum and titanium, and also by seeking out processors who work these materials, by communicating crisply, clearly, and always being respectful and responsible, even to the smallest user. metalmen has been serving all segments of the American and international metal market in Aluminum, Stainless, Nickel, and Titanium. From backyard inventors to NASA engineers, from our Armed Services to start-ups, from University R+D to small manufacturing, metalmen responds with a dogged determination and a market clarity that few major distributors can match. Located now on the same streets that founder Jim delivered newspapers on 50 years ago, metalmen is the definition of a LOCAL company with a global vision. metalmen is positioned to respond to your most challenging specialty metal needs.
