Founded in April of 2008, Midwest PGM Recovery Specialists, Inc. is an automotive core and scrap purchasing company located in Cedar Lake, Indiana. We buy used automotive parts for aftermarket parts rebuilders so the part can be reused, we also purchase automotive scrap for the purpose of recycling.Our specific industry, scrap metal recycling, is good for the environment and it saves money by reducing production costs. Recycled iron and steel result in an additional energy savings of 74 percent. Recycling reduces the levels of energy consumed within our country. Additional benefits of the industry are reduced water usage, reduced air and water pollution, reduced consumer waste, reduced natural material usage and a reduction in the amount of mining waste.At Midwest PGM's Recycling Center, we help to keep unnecessary items from entering landfills which continues to be a growing concern for all communities.
