The Winston family began its scrap metal business as a one-person operation in 1928.  Today the Winston Company is one of the most respected processors, brokers, consultants and suppliers of ferrous and non-ferrous metal in Michigan.

We are conveniently located in Detroit, Michigan just minutes from all major expressways.

Our full-service, seven-acre facility is equipped with multiple certified public scales, as well as, cranes and other un-loading equipment to handle all of your metal recycling needs, regardless of size. Our facility is open Monday through Saturday offering industrial, containerized pick-up and drop-off.

Our facility is the oldest scrap metal yard in Detroit. We are an industry leader for buying, processing and selling all ferrous and non-ferrous metals in the Detroit scrap metal market.

The ferrous division of Winston Brothers specializes in the processing, sorting, torching and shearing of all ferrous metals.  Our State certified scales and state-of-the-art computer system ensures accurate weights and proper grading of your scrap metal, guaranteeing maximized value of your scrap.

In addition, we have a large fleet of containers ranging from small in-plant dump hoppers to 80 yard roll-off boxes.  By giving our customers a wide range of sizes, we maximize payloads and, therefore, minimize trucking costs, again passing on the savings to you.
