Prince George’s Scrap, or PG Scrap, is part of EMR Smith Industries, LLC, with origins dating back to 1898, which operates one of the oldest and largest scrap processors in the Mid-Atlantic region. Through our state-of-the-art separation systems, we buy, process, and sell ferrous and non-ferrous metals by turning raw scrap into a clean and mill-ready product.We strive to be industry leaders by keeping our facilities clean, safe, and as responsive as possible to our customers’ needs. Our customer base includes the general public, tow companies, salvage yards, construction and demolition companies, large corporations and small businesses, local, county, state, and federal government entities including military facilities.​ With facilities located throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Delaware, we are strategically located to handle the many jobs our customers have throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. There are some materials that in order to buy, we must have certain documentation to comply with applicable laws or policies:

• Cars- Must have title, registration, gas must be drained completely and hole put in bottom of tank, battery removed and all fluids and freon removed.

• Any material that would typically come from a Municipal, Commerical, or Government Agency or Company must have proper documentation, and can only be processed if brought by the proper agency or company.

• Items can include manhole covers, hydrants, cemetery ornamnets etc, man hole rings, scaffolding, guard railing, light poles and fixtures, Railroad Materials, Cement Forms, Traffic Signals, Road or Traffic Signs, Beer Kegs, Bleachers, Benches, Mailboxes, Tree grates , storm drain grates, etc.
