Non-Ferrous Metals

The most commonly used non-ferrous metals are aluminium, copper, lead, zinc, nickel, titanium, cobalt, chromium and precious metals. Millions of tonnes of nonferrous scrap are recovered annually and used by smelters, refiners, ingot makers, foundries, and other manufacturers. Secondary materials are essential to the industry’s survival because even new metals often require the combined use of recycled materials.

Ferrous Metals

Ferrous metals are mainly composed of iron and have magnetic properties. Steel, an iron alloy containing carbon, is by far the most-recycled material in the world. The most commonly recycled items are scrap from industrial processes, end-of-life products such as containers, vehicles, appliances, industrial machinery and construction materials.

eScrap

Due to an increased demand for electronics recycling, Kedia Metals will now be accepting all forms of electronic waste at their facilities. This includes anything that can be plugged into a wall outlet (see examples below). There will be no charge for most electronic equipment with the exception of CRT monitors and TV’s, which will have $.45/lb minimum charge for most sizes at our e-scrap facility .

As always Kedia Metals pays top dollar for segregated metals such as copper, brass, aluminum, and stainless steel. We are also accepting steel and iron (including appliances) at our locations.

Corporate and Trade accounts can avail our free pick up service for trailer loads of 10000 Pounds and greater. For computers and e-scrap, we will provide a free pickup if you have greater than 100 computer CPU’s and are located in 50 mile radius. Pickups available at a nominal cost for smaller loads.
