MetalX is a privately held, independent scrap metals company located in Waterloo, Indiana that deals in ferrous and nonferrous scrap.

HISTORY

The founders of MetalX have a rich history in the scrap metals industry, dating back to 1943 when Irving Rifkin purchased his first scrap yard. Irving’s son, Leonard, and then his grandsons, Danny, Rick, and Marty, grew the business into the largest scrap processor in the U.S., which was sold to a steel company in 2007. Now, as CEO, Danny Rifkin and his brothers are joined by a fourth generation and a seasoned team of scrap executives.

OUR COMPANY

MetalX is a scrap metal recycling company that deals in all types of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal. We buy scrap from industrial generators, wholesale suppliers, and the general public. As a processor, we transform unprepared scrap into a form that is suitable for remelting purposes, which then becomes raw material for metal products.Our first facility is located on a 70-acre site near Waterloo, Indiana, and will be a full-service facility, capable of receiving, processing, and handling high volumes of scrap in the most efficient manner.
