Mattatuck Scrap Metal Inc
28 Town Line Road, Wolcott, Connecticut, United States
Since our company's founding in May 1970, Mattatuck Industrial Scrap Metal, Inc. has shown sustained growth. In the early days, the entire staff consisted of John Constance and Peter Tatalias, who transported scrap metal in a single pick-up truck. Over the years, they have shared the dream of creating a growth company based on service, customer focus, and corporate integrity.
At our state-of-the-art facility, we take pride in maintaining the cleanest and most efficient operation possible.
Today, our multimillion-dollar facility on 10 acres in Central Connecticut boasts a fleet of modern vehicles. We have the equipment and experience to meet the demands of any manufacturing facility. As we continue to expand our operations, we remain committed to our corporate philosophy of service, integrity, and professionalism.
Over the years, we have seen our business thrive and grow because of strong relationships with our customers. The one thing that has not changed in the decades since our founding is our vision of how our company should conduct its business.
Our Goals are to:
Provide the highest level of customer service available.
Commit to fair market pricing and prompt payment.
Continue to seek ways to provide cost savings, which we can pass along to our customers.
Adhere to the highest standards of integrity.
We strive to meet or exceed compliance with all current environmental regulations. We accomplish this goal by maintaining an ongoing relationship with HRP Associates, Inc. of Farmington, Connecticut, an environmental consulting firm that is knowledgeable about all federal, state, and local environmental regulations. The changing regulatory climate sometimes makes compliance a demanding challenge, but our strong relationship with HRP enables us to achieve effective environmental policies.
Our employees are trained to continually monitor the workplace to prevent any occurrences that might adversely impact the environment. At Mattatuck, we work hard to keep our facility clean and environmentally sound. Our plant, and even our street, is power-swept daily to ensure that the facility remains clean.
We recently installed state-of-the-art cement pads - equipped with oil and water separators - in the steel yard. These will protect the environment from contaminants leaching into the ground. All scrap in the ferrous operation will eventually be stored on pads to provide a secure containment barrier. Our concern for the environment translates into ongoing efforts to improve our methods of operation.
Our corporate goal is to achieve the highest possible level of performance and customer service. We handle industrial accounts exclusively, and endeavor to treat all our customers with the integrity and respect that they deserve.
Because we understand the need to increase profitability in today's competitive marketplace, we will work with you to design a custom program to maximize your scrap return. Several pricing options are available, on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Your scrap metal is transported to our facility, where it is weighed on state-certified scales. We provide your company with a computerized scrap receipt that itemizes the material, unit price, and total price.
Payment, too, can be arranged according to your preference. Mattatuck will always work with you to customize your payment schedule, as well as any other component of your scrap program.
