Our History

We have been in the scrap iron & metal business since 1994.

In 1994 we started our recycling company in Seattle, Washington. By 1998 we expanded to buying nonferrous metals and electronic waste recycling.

By 2000 we were buying scrap throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, Wyoming, and Vancouver BC, Canada.

In 2004 the price of scrap iron went high enough, and ocean freight went low enough, for us to enter the scrap iron export market via ocean container. And we haven't looked back.

Iron Industries, LLC. is proud to be associated with ScrapMetal.org, a large scrap metal trading website.

We're also in the development stages for both ScrapMetal.cn for our Asian business and ScrapMetal.nl for our European business. 

As soon as the sites are live we'll issue a press release. Check back often for updates.

Logistics

Our in-house team will handle all the logistics from port to port. Door To Door also available.

We'll arrange the ocean freight bookings, trucking to/from the port, and inspection or pre-inspection (if needed).

Documentation

We'll also assist with the Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origins, Invoices, Scale Tickets, Packing List and Loading Photos.

We also work with several freight forwarders and have accounts with most shipping lines.

Inspection

Two of our main markets are China and India. Both have their own inspection requirements.

For China we'll assist with AQSIQ and CCIC. And for India we'll handle pre-inspection certification, I.E.C, and Form 9 for Indian Customs.
