The barter of goods or services among different peoples is an age-old practice, probably as old as human history. In 1985 Packson Atlantic took that knowledge and began a humble journey selling closeout merchandise to Revco Discount Drug Stores® and Kmart®.

Commercial Bonds

Performance Bond

A performance bond is a bond issued to one party of a contract as a guarantee against the failure of the other party to meet obligations specified in the contract. For example, a scrap company may issue a performance bond to a foreign client for an export sale. If the scrap company fails to fulfill its obligation according to the specifications laid out by the contract, the foreign client is guaranteed compensation for any monetary loss.

Financial Guarantee Bond

A financial guarantee bond obligates that the surety will pay a certain amount of money if the principal fails to perform its obligation. This bond guarantees the payment of a sum of money at the future date. These bonds are issued to provide protection to the beneficiary against breach of contract by the Surety or by the principal. For example, a scrap company may issue a financial guarantee bond to a foreign client for an export sale. If the scrap company fails to fulfill its obligation according to the specifications laid out by the contract, the foreign client is guaranteed compensation for any monetary loss.
