Michel’s Iron & Metals

Michel's Iron & Metals serves as a major role in the metal recycling industry in Athens, Hocking, Fairfield, Perry, Pickaway, Ross, Vinton and other counties in SE Ohio.  We serve as the first step in the recycling process of area residents scrap, aka 'junk.'

Michel's Iron & Metals (MIM) was started by the late Kenny Michel during the late 1950's. Mark, one of Kenny's sons joined in the business during the 1980's; eventually taking over operations in 1989.  Mark and his wife run the business now.

Over the year's, MIM has expanded it's volume of metal taken in tremendously.  MIM has made several upgrades to equipment and buildings to serve customers more accurately and more quickly.
