Established in 2003, RJ Recycling, LLC, has grown to become the largest recycler of West Virginia ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal.With locations in Nitro, Glasgow and Parkersburg, RJ Recycling exhibits environmental stewardship through services provided on behalf of consumers and commercial businesses that include bailing, shearing, industrial container, automotive shredding and custom scrap processing.

OUR SUPPLIERS

As a full-service scrap metal recycling company, we purchase ferrous and nonferrous scrap material from a wide variety of suppliers that include large industrial manufacturers, commercial businesses, local scrap dealers, as well as the general public.The relationship that we hold with each of our suppliers is something that we take very seriously. Committed to superior service and quality, we are dedicated to making sure that every transaction is handled professionally, weighed accurately with state-certified scales and sold at a price that fairly reflects current market condition

OUR CUSTOMERS

Through truck, rail and barge, RJ Recycling directly sells the scrap we process to steel mills, primarily in West Virginia, but also in surrounding states. Through the relationships we maintain with metal brokers, our scrap is also sourced to mills throughout the eastern United States as well as abroad. We take pride in the quality of the product we deliver our customers, knowing that it will be used as a critical resource for the manufacture of new products and materials.

Workplace safety ranks high among our goals. Knowing that our employees are our most critical asset, we work hard to comply with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency guidelines to keep each and every one of them safe while at work.

PREVENTING METAL THEFT

As a member of the scrap recycling industry, RJ Recycling fully recognizes and upholds its responsibility toward metal theft prevention. We will never knowingly purchase, process or sell stolen material at any of our processing facilities.With employee training programs and sales processing procedures in place, we proactively evaluate the legitimacy of every retail transaction. We also maintain a commitment to the strong working relationships we have built with area law enforcement officials to help put metal thieves in their place.

  • We I.D. We photocopy consumer drivers’ licenses and track vehicle identification numbers.
  • We train our employees to recognize signs of metal theft.
  • We have anti-theft transaction policies and procedures in place.
  • We work proactively with area law enforcement providers through participation in the LeadsOnline program.
  • We are a member of the Scrap Theft Alert System.
