Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) Opens Nominations for Plastic Sustainability Innovation Awards
Washington D.C.— The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) has opened nominations for the Plastics Sustainability Innovation Awards, a program designed to honor pioneers advancing sustainability in plastics manufacturing. The awards celebrate the bold and creative innovations that are making a tangible difference in our world, spotlighting achievements in sustainable design, materials innovation, and responsible end-of-life solutions.
“The Plastics Sustainability Innovation Awards are not just about recognizing success but also about inspiring our industry to embrace the future of sustainable manufacturing and innovation,” said PLASTICS Vice President of Sustainability Patrick Krieger. “Our industry is constantly working to become even more sustainable, and we look forward to discovering the remarkable work of this year’s nominees.”
The awards include five categories recognizing different aspects of sustainable innovation:
- Leadership in Sustainability Innovation Award
- Sustainable Innovation in Design Award
- Sustainable Innovation in Materials Award
- Sustainable Innovation in End-of-Life Award
- People's Choice Award

The winners will be announced on Earth Day, April 22, 2025, and awards will be presented at an upcoming PLASTICS event.
