NYLATRON NSM
Finish Plastics | Engineering Plastics
Developed specifically for demanding applications, Nylatron NSM outperforms all other 'premium' wear grade materials by far. Ideal for bearings and wear pads, Nylatron NSM offers advantages beyond superior wear resistance at an affordable price. It provides weight and noise reduction, corrosion resistance, and easy machining. With less downtime and reduced maintenance, save time and money by realizing the increased performance and productivity of this self-lubricating nylon.
NYLATRON NSM is a proprietary cast nylon 6 formulation containing solid lubricant additives which grant this material self-lubricity, excellent frictional behaviour, superior wear resistance and outstanding pressure-velocity capabilities (up to 5 times higher than conventional cast nylons). Being particularly suited for higher velocity, unlubricated moving parts applications, it is the perfect complement to the oil-filled grade ERTALON LFX. Nylatron GSM contains finely divided particles of molybdenum disulphide to enhance its load bearing capabilities whilst maintaining the impact resistance inherent to our standard grade of cast nylon 6.
Nylatron NSM Applications:
In wear applications, Nylatron NSM lasts up to 10 times longer than standard Type 6 nylon.
Bearings: - Nylatron NSM nylon offers up to 10 times longer part life than standard type 6 nylon in this pivot bushing on a mining dump truck.
Wear Pads:- Wear pads made of Nylatron NSM nylon are light weight, able to support heavy loads, are non-abrasive to mating surfaces.
Gears: - Gears made of Nylatron NSM nylon run quieter and wear longer without the need for lubrication on processing equipment.
