Medicoil was formed in 1992, born as a division of R & L Spring Company, which began in 1972. R & L Spring remains recognized as a reliable leader in the supply of precision springs and wireforms to a wide range of OEM’s in powersports, automotive, medical, and other general industries markets.

Medicoil was formed to address the unique requirements of the medical device market and has evolved into a leader in serving the market’s needs for coiled and machined components, with many going into implantable devices. Components and sub‐assemblies are produced in accordance with the most exacting Customer specifications. Our specialty is working with our Customers in the development and design of unique and challenging applications.

More than three generations of industry experience and a desire to creatively develop the optimal solution for difficult applications has earned Medicoil preferred-supplier status among some of the world’s leading medical device companies. Our consistently reliable, quality components are used in critical lifesaving products the world over.

QUALITY

When it comes to quality Medicoil’s brand is an extension of our Customers’ brands. There is no room for error and we embrace the philosophy and methods that assure the highest standards of quality. Our Quality Management System (QMS) is based on the ISO 13485 standard, to which we are certified. Processes are developed, qualified and validated using sophisticated IQ/OQ/PQ protocols.

Documented standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and quality assurance tools like APQP, control plans, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), process mapping and validation, and effective CAPA show Medicoil’s commitment to delivering the highest quality product to our Customers. Our quality assurance standards are about meeting Customer, regulatory, and statutory requirements using good manufacturing practices (GMP). This total quality management effort involves all members of the Company in collaboration with our Customers.
