Americas Tailings Inc. (“Americas Tailings”) is a Denver-based Earth-Friendly resource company focused on securing rights to develop historical tailings sites in the western USA and, by applying modern, commercially-viable, environmentally-friendly processing technologies, to extract the metals value and remediate the tailings sites.

  • New metals production in USA from historical tailings sites
  • Remediation of sites using modern processing technologies
  • Revitalization of areas by enabling new use of land
  • Generation of local employment and commerce through new operations
  • Potential to convert remediated tailings for alternative industrial uses
  • Commitment to responsible, innovative development of the mining industry
  • Commitment to needs and concerns of all Stakeholders

The mining industry played an important role in the development and expansion of the USA with numerous gold, silver and base metal mining operations through Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah. Mine processing methods used at many of the historical operations were not sufficiently advanced to maximize metal recoveries and, as a result, the tailings impoundment areas at these historical mines often contain significant payable metals.

Americas Tailings is focused on securing rights to develop small-to-medium tonnage, high-grade historical tailings sites in the western USA. Although the principal targets are precious metals and copper-rich tailings, the company will also target minerals considered strategic for global supply requirements.  By applying modern methods in evaluation, metallurgical extraction and environmental management, Americas Tailings will commit to develop resources in an environmental and socially responsible way that provides benefits to all its stakeholders.

Americas Tailings has secured interest in approximately 4 million tons of tailings material located in the Magdalena historical mining district (“Magdalena District”) in Socorro County, New Mexico. The company has partnered with Advanced Minerals Processing Inc., a California-based processing company, to conduct feasibility work to confirm the viability to produce natural, bio-mineral, nutrient-rich fertilizer products from the tailings sites secured by Americas Tailings in the Magdalena District.

Americas Tailings has established a Colorado non-profit corporation, U.S. Tailings Remediation, to promote and manage efforts to remediate and revitalize historical mining and tailings sites.
