Company History

Carpin was founded in 1984 as a glide and hardware manufacturing company that immediately became a leader in hardware manufacturing in the office and school furniture industries. Founder Ralph Carpinella, an engineer by education, brought his life-long manufacturing knowledge and furniture industry experience to create a customer-focused company that is based on engineering and innovation.

From the early beginnings to today, we have combined a deep industry knowledge and creative problem solving to add value to customers by providing them solutions that go beyond stock, off-the-shelf offerings. These customer focused, solution oriented ideals have been a part of Carpin culture from the beginning, and was guided in a large part by Ralph’s father, Henry Carpinella, who was integral to the startup and continued success of the business until his passing in 2011. Those ideals are still vitally important, today more than ever, and are the inspiration and driving force behind today’s capable leadership team. Carpin continues to set itself apart as an industry expert and valuable award winning supplier to most of the industry’s top companies.
