Black Mountain Sand delivers superior in-basin frac sand solutions to companies in the Exploration & Production (E&P) industry. Our two flagship facilities, Vest and El Dorado, boast a combined 10 million annual tons of nameplate capacity in the Permian Basin alone. We’ve expanded our operations with three new facilities in the Eagle Ford Shale and Oklahoma’s Mid-Continent region.

With annual production capacity at 17 million tons and delivering to three distinct hydrocarbon-producing regions, Black Mountain Sand is the premier in-basin sand supplier in the nation. Our combined annual production capacity equals 14 percent of total estimated frac sand demand in 2020.

In partnership with Natural Gas Partners (NGP), we are focused on developing mining facilities that are not only best in class, but good neighbors too. Notable investments include:

Research funding and dedicated conservation easement to help protect Dune Sagebrush Lizard habitat

A water recycling system that reclaims and reuses up to 98% of the water used in our mining process

Public road improvements to help mitigate traffic congestion at our mine entrances and improve safety
