Our family-owned and operated company began in 1974 with two machines and a desire to become an industry-leading manufacturer of turned metal parts.

Today, Abbate Screw Products, Inc. manufactures precision parts ranging from 1/16” to 2 ¼” in diameter. Our clean and efficient 85,000 square foot facility offers the best in modern machining utilizing a mix of CNC/CNC Swiss machines, traditional single/multiple spindle automatic screw machines, CNC milling and drilling, honing, grinding, blasting and vibratory finishing.

An American Success Story

Abbate Screw Products, Inc. was established in 1974 by brothers Lorenzo and Tom Abbate. The Abbate family left Italy in 1956 to pursue a better life in the United States. Shortly following their arrival, Lorenzo, the eldest brother, began working for Stewart Warner Corporation, a large manufacturer of automotive products located in Chicago. He started his journey toward the “American dream” in an entry level position as a janitor. In 9 short months he transferred to the screw machining department as a helper. Within a few years, through hard work and dedication, he excelled to a position of set-up man and troubleshooter of the Brown & Sharpe department. In 1966 his younger brother Tom also followed in his brothers footsteps and began to work on the same equipment. In 1974, Lorenzo and Tom ventured out and started Abbate Screw Products, Inc. They rented floor space at a local manufacturing company large enough to contain two machines. Five moves and 40 years later, Abbate has grown to a state of the art manufacturing company with over 85,000 square feet of space, shipping their products all over the world.
