Duquesne Mine Supply
2 Cross Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States | Base Metals
Back in 1919, a young Pittsburgh engineer named Albert Genter founded Duquesne Mine Supply Company to forge coal-cutting bits. The bits were well-engineered, and well-received by the market.
At the suggestion of mine customers, Duquesne added button-head coupling pins to the product line, and then square and hex head bolts - and the Dukane Fasteners lineup was on its way.
The parts we make have changed with the needs of the market, and with the many advances in engineering and metallurgy. But, after 90 years, the company's commitment to quality, and to customer service, is still what we're known for. We serve the mining industry, wherever electric haulage and transport are used, and we serve above-ground markets for overhead cranes.
We have grown and our markets have expanded, but we continue to supply skill, knowledge and quality to each and every product that carries the 'Dukane' name.
