Canadian Phoenix Steel Products operates from its 115,000 square foot manufacturing facility located on 10 acres of land at 289 Horner Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We have full truck and rail access from this location enabling optimized transportation of our steel pipe and steel mesh products.

We are a leader in the production of double submerged arc welded (DSAW) spiral welded steel pipe and steel mesh. We can store and distribute our products throughout Canada and the United States.

Our History

Celebrating Decades of excellence

• 1951 Plant constructed by the Canadian Defense Production Ministry and leased to Canadian Steel Improvement Ltd whose 400+ employees operated aluminum & magnesium foundries producing millions of precision forged turbine and compressor blades, precision and close-tolerance forgings, and jet engine components for A.V. Roe’s Orenda and AVRO Canada’s Iroquois jet engines powering the CF100 Canuck and CF105 Arrow supersonic jet fighters.

• 1968 Plant sold by Canadian Steel Improvement Ltd to Driam Pipe (Canada) Limited. Double Submerged Arc Welded (DSAW) spiral welded pipe production begins.

• 1969 Driam Pipe sold to Thyssen Steel, re-named to Canadian Phoenix Steel & Pipe – Western Div.

• 1973 Thyssen Steel sold to York Steel Group of companies; business re-named to current name Canadian Phoenix Steel Products Ltd.

• 1993 Business purchased by and became part of JDI Investment Limited.
