CREATION OF THE GROUP
IN 1953
In 1953, Group Tremblay Welding was founded by Jean-Marie Tremblay. In its modest beginnings, in a small workshop of 450 square feet, the company specialized in the manufacture of ornamental iron. This era will forever remain the inspiration of a constantly evolving company.
A hard worker, Mr. Tremblay is gradually expanding his client base and widening his field of operation. Proof of its success, ten years later, in 1963, the company moved to Chemin Larocque, in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, in a new workshop five times larger than the previous one.
Well located, the company experienced strong growth and its clientele continued to grow.
IN 1974
Following a request from a major customer, the company is developing a unique process that allows it to start manufacturing cathode plates used in the electrolysis of zinc. The ingenuity of the team will then be put to good use abroad since the company exports this technology throughout North America, South America and Europe.
IN 1977
The company moves to Saint-Anicet, in facilities of more than 12,000 square feet. With such spacious premises, competent staff and a good reputation, the company enters the field of manufacturing and installation of steel structures, as well as in industrial maintenance services.
IN 1987
An almost complete restructuring of the company takes place while Mr. Pierre Tremblay takes over from his father.
In ten years, the company quadrupled its installations and acquired a considerable number of automated equipment. In 1997, Groupe Tremblay obtained the bronze medal for SMEs awarded by National Bank and became ISO 9002: 94 accredited.
2012 TO PRESENT
The year 2012 brought a wind of change at Groupe Tremblay. A young and dynamic succession begins a shareholding process with the president and his vice-president, Messrs Pierre Tremblay and Guy Clermont. The current management team is thus created.
Through its evolution, Groupe Tremblay realizes that its mission and its values are the same as when it was created: meet the needs of its customers, offer quality products and rely on a talented team that understands the philosophy of company.
