Damascus Steel Casting Company was founded in 1906 to provide manganese grade steel castings for wear resistant applications. During the 1940’s we began to produce tooling for seamless tube mills, developing an expertise in manufacturing guide shoes, plugs and piercer points.

In 1993, Damascus was strengthened under new ownership that brought with it more diverse technical and marketing resources. The Company improved its already strong competitive position by offering new materials and product specialties. Heat-resistant carbon steel and modified stainless grades were added to serve the heat treating, power, chemical and process industries. At the same time, new wear-resistant applications were introduced to the power, rail, material handling, crushing and mining industries.

The company’s strong focus on providing unique wear-resistant solutions was expanded in the late 1900’s, with the addition of a computerized 29-channel spectrometer. Quality, productivity and operational flexibility were strengthened through the addition of flexible manufacturing and cross-trained work teams.
