History

Strohwig Industries started in a small farmhouse outbuilding in Polk, WI by Wolfgang Strohwig & Larry Glass. A first generation immigrant from Germany, Mr. Strohwig arrived in the United States in 1961 at 17 years old to be a Tool & Die Apprentice. In 1978, Mr. Strohwig partnered with his brother-in-law Larry Glass to open WG Strohwig Tool & Die. With a single Lucas Boring Bar and 600 square feet of space, a new company was born.

Today, with 180 employees, a 225,000 square foot facility, 56 horizontal and vertical CNC machines, and the ability to handle over 100 tons, Strohwig is poised to handle some of the largest machining in the industry.
