Red Bone Mining Company has over 35 years of experience providing mining and related services to the energy industry. The company provides turn-key contract mining services, including management, engineering, skilled labor, and a full range of mechanized mining equipment. Red Bone Mining focuses on safety and productivity, and on maintaining a highly-skilled and well-trained workforce.  The company is also engaged in equipment sales and leasing.

Red Bone Mining Company was started by the Lilly family in 1983. The company has provided deep mining contract mining services for metallurgical coal in the Sewell coal seam in Randolph County, West Virginia, and for steam coal in the Maidsville, West Virginia, area. 

Kristopher Lilly, the President of Red Bone Mining, worked alongside his father, Charlie Lilly, since he was a small boy, and has held every production position with the company throughout his career. Kris has continued the family business legacy since taking over ownership of Red Bone Mining in 2012.  Kris Lilly holds a Mining Engineering degree and a Masters of Business Administration degree, both from West Virginia University.
