Luminex is a Vancouver based Canadian precious and base metals exploration and development company focused on the Condor Au-Cu project located in SE Ecuador, 30 km south of Fruta del Norte. The Company also has two separate earn-in agreements with BHP and Anglo American on its Tarqui, and Pegasus A&B concessions in Ecuador. Luminex also holds several other early-stage exploration concessions in Ecuador.

Company History

On November 1, 2016, Odin Mining & Exploration (TSX.V: ODN) acquired 100% of the issued and outstanding of Ecuador Gold and Copper Corp (TSX.V: EGX) and underwent a name change to Lumina Gold Corp (TSX.V: LUM). Both companies have a long history in Ecuador with good working relationships with the respective communities. On August 31, 2018 Lumina Gold underwent a plan of arrangement to create Luminex Resources (TSX.V: LR). The plan of arrangement transferred all of the Company’s properties except for Cangrejos into Luminex Resources. Each shareholder of Lumina Gold prior to the plan of arrangement received 0.15 shares of Luminex Resources for every 1 share of Lumina Gold they owned.
