Erie Forge & Steel, in cooperation with Lehigh Heavy Forge, forges, heat treats, machines, clads, and assembles marine shafts for the United States Navy. Shafts are forged at Lehigh Heavy Forge on the open die presses and then shipped to Erie Forge & Steel, where they are finished to meet customer specifications. Quality is ensured by manufacturing items to military or ABS requirements. Erie Forge & Steel has the ability to manufacture shafts in sizes up to 70 feet in overall length.
