President Steven P. Tomlin is the third generation in the family-held business.

He follows his father Ralph H. Tomlin, Jr. and grandfather Osvald Berntsen, who learned his casting skills in his native Norway.

Berntsen Brass & Aluminum Foundry, Inc. was founded in 1946 and has grown over the years primarily by offering personal service and a valuable product to an ever expanding customer base.

Our Mission

In order to continuously supply value, we had to have the ability to adapt, to change, and to improve to meet or exceed our customers’ needs and expectations. We achieved this by integrating quality, productivity, and innovation into all our casting products and processes.

Over the years each casting job continued to be handled with the same personal service and careful attention as it was in 1946.

Our mission today is to be a world-class producer of custom sand cast alloyed parts utilizing modern foundry methods, equipment, and defined objectives for total quality. Our strategy of using a long term view with respect to reinvestment and continuous growth coupled with a diversified customer base will ensure that we will remain a viable partner in business with you for generations to come.
