History

When it started in 1979, the company did not cast bronze. It concentrates its activities in the casting of aluminum (aluminum parts). It was not until 1989 that Fonderie Fondalco became interested in foundry parts, more specifically in bronze casting and aluminum casting given the growing demand from customers. Investments are being made in a new aluminum and bronze casting plant in the Plessisville industrial park. The company is taking advantage of this new facility to acquire a bronze casting furnace. In the mid-1990s, the owner sold his shares to new shareholders, including his three sons.

In 1999, thanks to major expansion works, the area of ​​the production floor was doubled and several equipment at the cutting edge of technology was acquired. The foundry team is also growing. This reorganization makes it possible to triple production capacity. In 2006, Marc and Guy Grenier took over the management of the company.

Thanks to its staff of several experienced bronze founders, Fonderie Fondalco has become a major industrial foundry - bronze foundry and aluminum foundry - in Quebec. It specializes, among other things, in aluminum casting and bronze casting.
