Since it was established in 1972, Conover Metal Products has fabricated and furnished Quality steel and metal products to hundreds of satisfied contractors and Customer’s in Western North Carolina and in the Southeast Region of the United States.

Conover Metal Products specializes in Quality Fabrication of Structural Steel, Miscellaneous Steel Items, Steel Stairs, Handrails, Plate Shearing, Plate Bending, and fabrication of Reinforcing Bars. We also are a supplier of Steel Bar Joists, Joist Girders, Long Span Joists, Shop Fabricated Special Trusses, and Quality Decking Structural Products.

Conover Metal Products is Certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction. The AISC classification for Conover Metal is building standard.

As part of our AISC certification, Conover Metal has implemented procedures designed to eliminate the possibility of shipping materials and products that are defective. Our employees have been trained to ensure that fabricated materials that do not meet quality standards, do not leave our facility until they are correct and meet AISC standards and project specifications. Our goal is to always provide our customer’s with top quality and error free products.

Conover Metal Products has two Registered Professional Engineers licensed in North Carolina with extensive experience in steel fabrication and design-build projects. All welding personnel at Conover Metal Products are AWS certified. And we continue our commitment to Quality at Conover Metal  with recent purchases of state-of-the-art fabrication and automated drilling equipment, and with TEKLA 3-D Steel Detailing software.
