Our dedicated team is focused on your success, making us a trusted partner for transportation, public works, forestry, oil and gas, and mining operations throughout the country and abroad.

Our History

Armtec was founded in 1908 as Canada Ingot Iron in Guelph, Ontario supplying steel culverts to the burgeoning road-building industry. It grew over the next several decades, selling drainage products to large infrastructure and construction projects primarily in Ontario. In the late 1990s and into the 2000s, Armtec made a series of acquisitions including Big O, Bruce Tile and Oxford Plastics. In 2018, WGI Westman Group Inc. acquired Armtec’s Steel and Plastic Drainage Divisions, along with the Armtec name, consolidating them with Canada Culvert to form Armtec Inc. Armtec is proud to be part of the WGI family of companies. WGI was founded in 1976 by Russ Edwards with a single culvert mill, persistence and a focus on customer service. Today it has grown to over 2,200 talented and trusted employees in 77 locations across Canada and the United States.

Our Vision

Armtec is committed to providing quality products and cost-effective engineered solutions, which exceed customer expectations.
