Established and incorporated in 1979, D-S Pipe & Steel Supply is an independent, family-owned full line, stocking distributor of structural steel products, pipe, valve, fittings and piping specialties. All stock under one roof, located in Baltimore with ready access to I-95, the company fleet of 23 trucks services all of our customers from a 250,000 square foot single stocking warehouse location. Delivery to most areas is on a daily basis; servicing Maryland, D.C., Virginia, Delaware and South Central Pennsylvania, West Virginia and New Jersey.

At DS Pipe & Steel Supply, we represent the premier lines in the industry by supplying industrial product lines consisting of steel pipe, weld fittings, groove fittings, gate, globe, butterfly and ball valves and a full line of structural steel products.

Our product range comprises carbon, alloy, non-ferrous and composite material. Our stock sizes range from 1/8” to 36”. We offer a significant inventory of structural steel, primarily carbon, angle, channel, flats, beam, sheet/plate, square and rectangular tube, bearing bar grating, and expanded metal.

It is our goal to provide superior customer service; quick processing of price quotes, clear disclosure of product availability, and minimum turn around time for shop services including cutting, grooving and threading pipe, burning of plate & sheet on our (2) state of the art Messer plasma burning tables. We create our own Auto-CAD drawings in house for programming.

We continuously work to maintain the finest warehouse facilities, truck fleet and administrative services. We have 9 Inside Sales professionals are readily available to act as a technical resource for our customers.

Company History

D-S Pipe & Steel Supply LLC is a family owned & family operated wholesale distributor located in Southwest Baltimore, Maryland. The company supplies the construction industry with steel pipe, valves, fittings, structural steel and custom fabrication. In 1979 John W. Keehner, along with three partners founded D-S Pipe & Supply Co. The company was started with seven employees, one truck, and a 27,000 square foot warehouse in Little Italy. In 1988, John Keehner bought out his partners and the business grew rapidly.

With a long anticipated entry back into the structural steel business, DS Steel Supply LLC was started in January 2007, this business rapidly grew in a short period of time.In March of 2009, the company tripled its size with 4 additional experienced & seasoned sales people to carry the sales to the next level. In May 2011, DS Pipe & Supply and DS Steel Supply merged into one entity. The new company name is DS Pipe & Steel Supply LLC.

Today, Chris J. Keehner & Sean W. Keehner run the company with 110 full-time employees, a fleet of 22 trucks covering 5 states with a 150 mile radius on a daily basis, and an enclosed 250,000 square foot warehouse offering next day delivery on our trucks......
