Quality Metal, Inc. has been offering Pre-engineered Red-Iron and Engineered Structures to Northwest Arkansas and surround areas for over a decade. We are able to provide a very wide variety of structures from agricultural buildings to large commercial facilities.

Our History

Originally founded in 1996 when Tod Hawkins moved to Northwest Arkansas and started Quality Metal, INC. He built the business with a vision to fabricate red-iron frames and offer construction services. Coming from the panhandle of Oklahoma, things were done a bit different then. Red-Iron frames were predominantly a ‘weld-up’ frame where he came from. Times and technology have progressed since then, but hard work and dedication to a quality product have stayed tried and true to the company. In 2005, Quality Metal purchased Metal Building Software and they began fabricating and erecting pre-engineered bolt-up buildings. In 2007, Chris Unruh came onboard as an estimator with Quality Metal, having over 10 years experience in steel buildings and components sales. Chris grew into a manager for Quality Metal, INC. and assumed ownership of the business in 2018 forming Quality Building Systems, INC. Chris’ unwavering commitment to the process of fabrication and quality of workmanship will serve Quality Building Systems well in the company’s endeavor to provide clients the highest caliber and quality projects.
