The business: All-Spec Metal Systems LLC is an architectural sheet-metal contractor that installs various standing-seam metal roof panel systems, metal wall panel systems, and sheet-metal coverings and flashings over EPDM, TPO, BUR and shingle roofs. All-Spec Metal's projects include commercial, institutional, government, retail, religious and residential facilities. New construction work accounts for about 90 percent of the company's work, with the other 10 percent made up of reroof projects.

What makes it unique: All-Spec Metal has worked extensively with custom sheet metal fabrications and trims for metal roofing, including large, sophisticated projects. 'We've been field roll forming standing-seam metal roof panels since 1992, long before the other contractors in our area decided to go to that system of field rollforming,' said All- Spec Metal Owner Bill Crull.

A small business consisting of 16 employees, All-Spec Metal works only in Missouri. Many of its clients are repeat customers who often appreciate working with someone local. 'The mid-Missouri area is a conglomeration of small towns, and reputation is very big,' Crull said.

Working with metal: All-Spec Metal has been field roll forming and installing Englert metal roof systems for over 16 years, covering a range of projects, some as small as 100 square feet (9 m2) and others as large as 57,000 square feet (5,295 m2). The company has approximately 1.34 million square feet (124,486 m2) of Englert metal roof systems installed in the mid-Missouri area.

Most of the larger Englert projects are commercial and institutional projects such as the health and recreation complex The Centre Special-Top Metal Contractor Profile in Rolla, Mo.; Wilson's Total Fitness Center in Columbia, Mo.; the Randolph County Justice Center in Huntsville, Mo.; and Pioneer Trail Elementary School in Jefferson City, Mo.

All-Spec Metal is currently working on an Englert-supplied 71,000-square-foot (6,596-m2), five-building project that is an electric cooperative complex due to be completed in July.
