Based in Muskegon, Michigan, Eagle Aluminum Cast Products, Inc. is an aluminum casting foundry that offers more than just quality aluminum sand and permanent mold castings. We have technology, experience, and the capability to take your project from concept to completion–including pattern making, casting, and finishing.
Our quality machine shop allows us the opportunity to provide you with a machined and assembled casting faster than the competition. Our trusted subcontractors can provide additional finishing operations to your parts. A full complement of options are offered, including anodizing, burnishing, polishing, and painting.
Eagle Aluminum Cast Products, Inc. offers quality aluminum sand and permanent mold castings. The permanent mold process offers a good surface finish and reduced machining at a lower cost. Permanent mold castings from 1 pound to 50 pounds and a 55″ diameter are currently produced.
Our sand molding facility offers mold capacity up to 30″ x 80″. We can work with our engineers to determine which combination is best suited for your application. We also produce patterns and mold a unique line of paint support castings for the automotive industry.
OUR STORY
The Eagle Group provides outstanding customer service and quality machined castings in several different processes and alloys. As one of three foundries within The Eagle Group, Eagle Aluminum Cast Products deals specifically with green sand and permanent mold aluminum castings.
A Versatile Aluminum Foundry and Pattern Shop
Eagle Aluminum Cast Products, Inc. (EACP) was created in 2002 when Mark Fazakerley and John Workman decided to expand the casting capabilities of The Eagle Group. EACP is comprised of two aluminum casting processes, green sand and permanent mold with both divisions supported by our pattern shop.
EACP Pattern Shop Division
The Pattern Shop has always provided patterns for the Greensand Division. However, in recent years, they have started to expand capabilities into permanent molds. The Permanent Mold Division has benefitted from the Pattern Shop engineering team with several new permanent molds and adjustments required on existing molds. The Engineering Department specializes in designing patterns for long, thin-walled castings–which is a rare service provided in the greensand market. Using CAD Data and CNC mill equipment, EACP is capable of creating patterns for matchplates, rollovers, core boxes and permanent molds.
EACP Green Sand Division
The EACP Green Sand Division has a long history dating back to 1909 in downtown Muskegon, MI. Of course many improvements have been made to the facility, but EACP still produces aluminum castings in the same building that’s housed a greensand foundry for over 100 years. When the foundry was added to The Eagle Group, the EACP Green Sand Division had been retooled to provide “paint support” castings for the automotive industry. EACP is one of two foundries in the USA that still provide these types of castings. We specialize in long, thin-walled castings and are now supplying decorative castings for the outdoor lighting industry. Many municipalities are conducting a “renaissance” to return the appeal of their cities to previous historical grandeur, and EACP is proud to provide castings in support of this mission.
EACP Permanent Mold Division
The EACP Permanent Mold Division has been and continues to be a perfect complement to the green sand process. Since 2002, EACP has streamlined our processes to focus on what we do best, and to find our “niche” outside of the automotive industry. With the resources available through The Eagle Group, we are able to produce and supply quality castings in the highly competitive industry of permanent mold castings. In turn, the Eagle Group, through EACP, is now able to provide complete aluminum castings with tight tolerances and excellent surface finish. In 2008, EACP became ISO 9001:2008 certified and maintains that certification today. With the introduction of lean manufacturing cells in 2010, EACP has been able to reduce lead times, improve flexibility of services and focus on continually improving our processes. Today, EACP is growing and continues to take the necessary steps to exceed customer expectations.
