About Seaborn Manufacturing, it was founded by the Seaborn family in 1987. The company mission was to deliver high quality fabricated and machined parts to the Ontario Market from Kitchener Waterloo.

Seaborn Manufacturing provides steel fabricated parts and weldments for a variety of industries, such as; health care and security. With growth the business expanded it sales to clients in the United States. Metal stamping and tube bending were quickly added because of its strong skill set in welding.

David Drescher, a local entrepreneur, purchased the company from the Seaborn family in 2005. David had previously owned and operated a machine building business. He began to grow the company by adding CNC machining capabilities to Seaborn in 2005.

Seaborn Manufacturing continued to gain clientele. Due to this growth it moved into a larger 20,000 sq ft facility in 2006. The business is now located at 629 Colby Drive in Waterloo.

In 2007, because of Seaborn’s steady demand for high quality powder coating it installed its own system. Therefore Seaborn offers over 250 different powder coat colors. Seaborn’s powder coating is focused on products made in house, because of customer demand.

Adding a DCC CMM in 2010 provided the ability to produce tight tolerance measurements quickly. Thereby allowing Seaborn can provide accurately measured parts to ISO standards.

Laser Cutting service was add to Seaborn Manufacturing in 2015. Seaborn bought a new Mazak to provide laser cut aluminum, mild steel and stainless. This very precise machine has become a corner stone of the business. Providing tight tolerance parts to a growing market.

CWB 47.1 and CWB 47.2 certification were obtained in 2018. Seaborn has proven its welding procedure for carbon steel and aluminum because of this.

Seaborn Manufacturing has continued to grow with its clients. With clients in agriculture, patient care, technology, mining, power generation, and heavy equipment. The company is constantly adding equipment to keep up with the ever-changing market. Seaborn Manufacturing is committed to product quality.
