Preferred Septic and Disposal, Inc

Preferred Septic and Disposal is owned by Dale Comontofski who has been a resident of the Owens Valley for more than 35 years. Dale began his professional plumbing career in 1979 and was the owner of Precision Plumbing and Roto Rooter here in the Owens Valley.

Deciding he enjoyed the portable toilet business he began Preferred Septic in 1997, and in 2003 he received permission from Inyo County to operate a new solid waste disposal business from Round Valley to the Owens Valley Dry Lake. Since then Preferred Septic and Disposal has grown to have over 4,300 customers.

In 2005 Dale was presented the 'Best Friend of the Firefighter' Award from the Bishop Fire Department. He has a strong belief in givingback to our community here in Inyo and Mono County. Check out our 'Giving Back To Our Community' page to see all we have contributed to in our community.

Dale hired Fred Little as his first driver, then added Dan Bright as the company grew. Kristen Dean was hired as Manager and has a passion to build Preferred more and more each year. As each year passes, Preferred grows with more employees. We believe that having a small local business is what keeps America strong and believe that giving back to our community is what it is all about.
