Steel Works Mfg.

53214 RR 183, Yellowhead County, Alberta, Canada | Steel/Iron

When we started our family owned and operated company in 1999, our goal was simple: work hard, provide quality workmanship, and contribute to society. Looking back almost 20 years later, we have done just that.

With two unique founders with their own unique giftings, one with competence in the industry, and one with business savvy and values such as contributing to society, we have a unique combination of abilities. Because of this, our co-owned company has 60 plus years of combined experience, and has been able to provide the best of technological expertise in the industry, combined with the ability to truly contribute to society locally, nationally, and internationally.

As a fundamental part of Canadian infrastructure, the industries of oil, gas, forestry, farming, and mining are not only a part of our history, they are our future. With the generations of experienced workers becoming fewer, authentic expertise are harder to come by. However, because of our one co-founder, with over 30 years of experience in the industry, we can stand by a level of ingenuity and competence that is unparalleled to most.

On the other hand, because of the integrity and values of our other co-owner and founder, our projects range beyond the industry, and reaches people in need locally, nationally, and internationally. From lending a helping hand to help keep families together despite battles against drug and alcohol abuse, to being involved in the largest Habitat for Humanity project in rural Canada, to building one of the first buildings on site for a girls school in Malawi, what we do here at Steel Works Mfg helps make significant and measurable impact in peoples lives. As Habitat for Humanity said 'It's not about giving people a hand out, it's about giving people a hand up.'

As well, we believe in being leaders in our day to day workings in the office and the shop floor, we believe in creating a work environment that cultivates and encourages skills such as working as a team, worth ethics, craftsmanship, cooperation, and respect for others. While it may seem that teaching a trade is simply about the trade itself, we at Steel Works Mfg believe that we are training and equipping the next generation of trades people, which is a responsibility we take seriously. What kind of environment would we want to send our children to work in? That's what we ask ourselves everyday as we aim to be the leaders in both work related matters, and in how we conduct ourselves as members of a community.
