Basic rebar has changed very little since A&H Steel opened our doors in 1970 to serve the needs of the western Canadian construction industry. Our commitment to do whatever it takes to ensure our customers’ success has also remained constant. A&H’s company-wide commitment to be at the forefront of innovative practices and procedures designed to enhance the efficiency, economics and ease of rebar remains the same.

Over the years we’ve grown from 12 employees to over 200 employees at peak operation. The company is affiliated with the Iron Workers Union, Local 720 – proud partners in our success.

Family Owned – Forward Focused

A&H Steel was founded by brothers, Andrew and Hank Kotun. When Hank left the company to pursue other business interests, Olga Chebuk – a talented and dedicated employee in the drafting department was offered the role of partner. Today, a second generation has taken over the operations of this Edmonton-based, family owned rebar business. Andy’s only son, Craig Kotun, and Olga’s only daughter, Glenise Harvey, were appointed as the new principals in 2008.

While we maintain the hands-on care and strong personal relationships you expect from a family-owned business – our focus on “Raising the Bar” has allowed us to successfully compete against the largest multinationals in the business.
