Our History: A Solid Start

Lamp Metal Trusses, Inc. has been proudly serving the southeastern United States since 1987. Founded in Oakwood, Georgia as Metalite, Inc., we became a member of the Matandy Steel and Metal Products family of Hamilton, Ohio in 2011.

Our origins date back to 1987 when the company was founded as Metalite, Inc. In 2011, new ownership seamlessly transitioned to Lamp Metal Trusses, Inc. The same great people that made Metalite, Inc. a success throughout the years continue that tradition now through Lamp Metal Trusses, Inc.

The partnership has enabled Lamp Metal Trusses, Inc to be a more productive, competitive mainstay in the steel roof truss and roof deck industry. Today, we can serve our customers more efficiently than ever before.

Building on Innovation

After almost 30 years of pioneering in the steel roof truss and roof deck industry, we’ve grown to serve customers with offices in Ohio, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida.

Lamp Metal Trusses, Inc. is one of the few companies in the country to conduct on-site fabrication and installation of complete commercial truss system packages. This method allows us to adjust to field-conditions when needed, and it allows us to “skip the bacon” as “piggy-back” designed trusses are not needed. We lead our trade with high efficiency “lay as we go” roof decking. We’re also pleased to announce that we are BIM capable.
