Custom Steel Processing was founded on July 1st, 2002 by Patrick Notestine, Richard Kraut, and John Prazma. Prior to founding Custom Steel Pat was the owner of the Affiliated Metals which was one of the original 6 companies that formed Metals U.S.A. in the late 90’s. Pat brought much of the management and staff over to Custom Steel which had 20+ years of industry experience. Pat Notestine, Jr. and Gary McNulty have come on board as partners with Pat Sr. and John Prazma to form our ownership group today. Our company was started to specialize in supplying large volume OEM’s with superior customer service at competitive prices. Our processing facilities are located in Madison, IL. producing products that include hot rolled, P&O, cold rolled, and galvanize.
