OUR START

Whether you need a complete mechanical installation, custom fabrication, welding, insulation or even HVAC underground pipe installation excavation in the Tallahassee area, Kelly Brothers is the one to call—and has been, since 1978. In the beginning, Kelly Brothers started out as a sheet-metal subcontractor, with our own welding and custom fabrication shop. In 1991, we added a mechanical contractors division; and then an insulation division in 1998. At Kelly Brothers, we service both public and private customers, large and small.

ABOUT OUR PRINCIPALS

Founded locally by Bob Kelly, Kelly Brothers has been a privately held, local family-owned business since the first day we opened our doors. In 2002, Bobby Kelly took over the day-to-day operations of the facility from his father, Bob. Bobby, a graduate of TCC, who has grown up right here in Tallahassee, right along with the business, has been working at Kelly Brothers since he was 12 years old. Bobby’s summers were spent learning every aspect and nuance of the sheet metal business, even going on job sites back before he was even old enough to drive! Bobby—as well as the whole Kelly family–has dedicated the Kelly Brothers’ family-based commitment and devotion to exceptional service and support to its customers, its business partners and its community.

Bobby has been married for more than two decades, and his sons, Nolan and Landon, ages 17 and 13, are already apprenticing during their summer vacations. They are taking the company into the future as a part of the Kelly Brothers Racing Team (more on that venture later!).
