Evolving in line with technological developments and the needs of a very diverse clientele, our family-owned business has made considerable progress since its founding in 1956. Building on the values of excellence that guided our founders, The Steel Alliance Corporation has steadily grown to become a leader in the industry in Canada.
A service center specializing in the processing and distribution of carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel, the Alliance Steel Corporation stands out for its ability to surpass market expectations for accuracy, quality, price and service. This high level of performance is testament to the competence of our team, the efficiency of our production technologies and the continual improvements and oversight provided by our quality assurance program.
This undeniable advantage is also due to the quality of the relationships we have developed with our clients over the years. These allowed us to better anticipate market needs and react accordingly. In 2003, we added aluminum to the range of our products and in 2009 stainless steel was added.
The key to the success of Alliance Steel Corporation has been its ability to literally mold itself to the needs of its customers while continually improving its services, producing the highest quality equipment, ensuring fast and convenient delivery, and now competitive prices. We work closely with our customers to ensure they receive the best possible service, appropriate to their needs, for their greater profitability.
HISTORICAL
Alliance Steel Corporation / Alliance Steel Corporation is a metal service center specializing in the processing and distribution of carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel flat rolled coil, strip and plate .
1949: Founded in 1949 by Jack Deitcher and his father, Isaac, the initial activities were concentrated in the field of recycled scrap metal.
1956-1976: Incorporated in 1956, the new Alliance Steel Corporation changed its focus for the distribution of flat rolled steel, and over the next two decades was recognized as a full steel service center by Canadian steel mills. Initially, Alliance Steel Corporation's operations took place in leased areas in eastern Montreal.
1976-1986: In 1980 they relocated to Laval to a property comprising a warehouse of 43,000 square feet. Michael Deitcher and Glenda Susser, son and daughter of Jack Deitcher, joined the company in 1976 and 1984 respectively and, in 1986, the Steel Alliance Corporation purchased its first line of cut in length (Line Delta Brands) to become more independent and integrated.
1997: In 1997, due to a lack of space and capacity, Alliance Steel Corporation embarked on a massive expansion program that lasted 15 years. The first construction project increased the warehouse area by 31,900 square feet for a total area of 75,000 square feet and included the purchase of a cut line in lengths and squaring 'Red Bud', the first of its kind in Canada.
1998-2003: Over the next six years, Alliance Steel Corporation continued to grow. The neighboring property was acquired in 2000, providing the Alliance Steel Corporation with an additional 151,000 square feet of land and an office building that was completely renovated in 2001. In 2002, The Steel Corporation Alliance installed a Red Bud thick gauge and gauge line, and in 2003 the construction of a new 30,000 square foot reel storage bay was completed.
2003-2006: In 2003, we also added a complete line of aluminum products. This addition was made in response to the fact that many of our customers claimed that they did not receive the same level of service and quality for their aluminum needs as we provided them for steel. In 2006, we were awarded the Dunamis Award for Distributor of the Year by the City of Laval, which recognized the visionary nature of management to expand its product line to better meet the demands of the market. In addition, in 2006, the Alliance Steel Corporation celebrated its 50th anniversary which was marked by an aerial photo commissioned by the employees.
2009: In 2009, we added the range of stainless steel products.
2012:The immediate success in the non-ferrous product ranges has forced us to add a light gauge leveler to our cut line in lengths and thick gauge squares 'Red Bud'. In 2012, we proceeded to another expansion by adding 41,000 square feet to our plant, with the goal of providing specific space for the storage and processing of aluminum and stainless steel. Our warehouse space has grown to more than 155,000 square feet. We have installed a state-of-the-art Canrack Custom Shelving System for the storage of aluminum and stainless steel strips and plates as well as specialized processing and handling equipment including side-lift trucks to access the equipment in our shelving system.
Today: The success of Alliance Steel Corporation over the years is rooted in our vision of quality and customer service, backed by the dedication and commitment of our people. experimented.
