COMPANY HISTORY

Capitol Pipe and Steel Products of Canada Ltd. has been in business since 1968 in Canada.  In 1989 Capitol Pipe and Steel Products of Canada Ltd. was acquired by Canerector Inc.

Canerector Inc is a privately, 100% Canadian-owned company, and has been in business since 1947.  We feel that these positive features enable us to significantly enhance our ability to provide the necessary requirements our customers need and deserve.

By 1990, through trial and error, Canerector Inc. had developed many of the principles which it now embodies.  These included decentralized decision making, minimal bureaucracy, small corporate office, and employee incentive plans.  Despite significant increases in revenue and the large number of divisions, the company has maintained the atmosphere of a smaller company with the financial stability of a larger one.

Since then, Canerector Inc. has purchased, and is actively pursuing, other companies to complement its core activities.  From its humble beginnings in Montreal over 60 years ago with a three man operation, the company has expanded to over 2,000 employees in divisions throughout North America.

Canerector Inc. believes in stability and long-term ownership to reach Divisional and Corporate goals.  We seldom sell businesses, preferring to expand by organic growth, and through acquistion.   We reduce risk by avoiding excessive debt.  Management prefers to operate as a private company, and will usually seek to privatize any public company acquisitions.
