Our Story

New Liskeard Sheet Metal has been a family business since 1939.

Originally named New Liskeard Heating and Plumbing, owned by Harold Walton Sr. and Dave Sharp. In 1944, Harold Walton Sr. became sole owner and bought the building that belonged to Harold Edwards in downtown New Liskeard at 36 Armstrong St., in which the business continued till 1958.

In 1958, Sons of the late Harold Walton Sr. (Harold Jr. and Ernie Walton) incorporated it as New Liskeard Sheet Metal Works Ltd. with a staff of 14 persons.

About 1979, the show was moved to 1444 Lakeshore Road and the focus changed to more custom manufacturing and industrial ventilation services, as well as fabrication and installations.

In 1989, David Walton, son of Harold Walton Jr., bought the shares of Ernie Walton to become a partner with Harold and Phyllis Walton.

In 2005, the purchase of the company shares of Harold and Phyllis Walton was made by David Walton.

In January 2008, Murray Walton, son of David Walton purchased the total shares of the company.
